|Dec.5,2017--On Dec. 3, the Tibet Sculpture Art Association was established in Lhasa, which will promote the development of sculpture art and the growth of professional sculpture talents.
At present, there are more than 80 members in this association and it covers metal sculpture, clay sculpture, wood carving sculpture, and stone carving sculpture. At ordinary times, professional knowledge consultation, exhibition, scientific research, talent training and other activities will be held to promote the inheritance and development of Tibet's traditional sculpture art.
Tsega, president of Tibet Sculpture Art Association, says that this association will provide a platform for craftsmen to consult skills with each other. Next, it will absorb more sculpture talents and make this cultural industry bigger and stronger.
With a history of more than 2500 years, Tibet's traditional sculpture art has profound cultural background, rigorous theoretical system, and high aesthetic characteristics. Now 18 people have gotten the title of autonomous region level sculpture artists. Among which, 4 people are first-class sculpture artists, 6 people are second-class sculpture artists and 8 people are third-class sculpture artists.
