China Thangka Art Festival to open on Sep. 10

Sept. 9, 2016 -- China Thangka Art Festival, an important part of China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo, is held annually in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Tibet will hold 3rd China Thangka Art Festival on Sep. 10 to Oct. 10.
 
The 3rd China Thangka Art Festival consists of China Thangka Art Festival's high-end forum, trade show of China Thangka Art Festival works, the exhibition of selected works and other activities.
 
The exhibition of selected works opens from Sep.10 to Oct. 10 at Shatra Courtyard. It is free to the public. More than 200 selected works will be on display.
 
The trade show of China Thangka Art Festival works will be held at Mass Art Gallery of Tibet Autonomous Region on Sep. 11. This trade platform aims to develop Thangka cultural industry chain, lead to a better understanding of traditional Thangka and share the fruits of cultural development.
 
China Thangka Art Festival's high-end forum will be held at Min Shan Hotel on Sep. 12. This forum will accelerate theoretic development and practical creation, promoting the development of Thangka art.
