Chinese man to run from Antarctic to Arctic

Mar. 5, 2018 -- A Chinese runner has started a ten-month running challenge, covering 24,000 kilometers from the Antarctic to Arctic, reports thepaper.cn.

Bai Bin started his challenge from China's Antarctic Great Wall Station on March 2, 2018. He's due to arrive at the North Pole on November 30, 2018.

He will run across 13 countries from South to North America, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, the United States and Canada.

Bai began his running career 17 years ago on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. He completed a 150-day endurance run along the ancient Silk Road in 2011.
