Ya’an-Nyingchi section, as part of the Sichuan-Tibet railway network, will be built into a national Level-I double-track railway. The total distance of the section reaches 1,101 kilometers with a designed speed of between 120 kilometers and 200 kilometers per hour. The project with an investment of 319.8 billion yuan will be built by the China State Railway Group (CSRG) Co.,Ltd, said the superintendent of the construction department of the the Sichuan-Tibet railway project.

 

The superintendent said that the CSRG has been coordinating with related government departments in both Sichuan and Tibet to facilitate the construction since the third session of the Financial and Economic Commission of the CPC Central Committee on Oct.10^th, 2018 which made the decision to build the Sichuan-Tibet railway.
