Webinar on Tibetan culture and religious belief held

Sept.29,2020 -- A webinar themed Tibetan Cultural Heritage and Religious Belief co-organized by the China Tibetology Research Center, the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture and the China Society for Human Rights Studies was held in Beijing on July 15th, 2020. More than 50 experts from home and abroad joined the virtual meeting. 
Luobu Zhaxi, Deputy Director of the Institute of Tibetan Medical and Pharmacology Studies, shared his thoughts on the inheritance and development of Tibetan medicine. Birgit Kellner, Director of the Institute for the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia, Austrian Academy of Sciences, gave an analysis of the development and research methods of Buddhism.
Wei Wen, assistant research fellow at the Institute of Tibetan History Studies, said that religion can be compatible with social development and the religious circle plays a positive role in epidemic prevention and ethnic unity.
Experts agreed that China’s great achievements in religious and ethnic policies and practices offer a window to the rest of the world to learn more about China.
