Feb.25, 2020 -- Miscellaneous goods for the celebration of the Tibetan New Year, which falls on Monday, are on sale at the supermarkets and shopping centers in Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Colorful prayer flag tree is an essential item for a Tibetan family. Apart from it, Kase, a fried food made of flour, is an indispensable dish for Tibetans to entertain guests during the festival. There is a Kase grocery store near the North Gate of Longwangtan bus stop. Freshly baked Kases of ear-shaped, stripe-shaped, square and round forms can be bought in the store. Customers can get a glimpse of the whole process of Kase-making.

Butter sculptures and Rosa flowers are also on people’s shopping list for the festival. A variety of goods on the streets has added an air of festivity to the city.
