NW China’s Qinghai holds art exhibition in Sri Lanka

Jan.16,2020 -- A folk art exhibition featuring China’s northwestern Qinghai province kicked off Monday in Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka. Madhubani Pereira, director of the Public Relations Department of Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Board and Dong Jieren, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
 
Over 200 photos and exquisite Thangkas featuring nature, ethnic culture, local customs and economic and social achievements in Qinghai were exhibited. The exhibition was organized by the Information Office of the People's Government of Qinghai.
 
Dong said in his speech that he hoped to present through this visit a true and magnificent picture of Qinghai to the audience in Sri Lanka and promote cultural exchanges and common development between the two countries.
 
Madhubani thanked the Chinese delegation for letting Sri Lankans get a glimpse of the natural beauty of Qinghai. The two countries enjoy a profound friendship and will strengthen cooperation in culture, tourism and economic development in the future, said Madhubani.
