Lhasa to support development of Tibetan ethnic handicrafts

Mar. 21, 2018 -- Lhasa's Human Resources and Social Security Bureau plans to launch a series of targeted measures to preserve and develop Tibetan traditional handicrafts.

The future development of ethnic handicrafts will focus on tourism market and Lhasa will be built into an industrial base for hand-made blankets, Tibetan incense and folk clothing.

The Bureau will introduce various platforms such as skill competitions to promote Tibetan ethnic handicrafts.
