Jan. 5, 2018 -- Statistics shows that the vegetation coverage in  Tibet’s natural grasslands  has reached 45.2 percent, with an increase of 2.5 percentage points from 2010 to 2017.

The increase  has benefited from major grassland ecosystem protection programs such as setting up a subsidy and incentive mechanism.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Tibet Autonomous Region, a 2.88 billion yuan incentive program was set up in 2017, including a performance assessment fund of 380 million yuan.
