Greeness is the natural color of Tibetan area. Pursuing ecological and green development is the inevitable choice based on the reality of the region. It's also the precondition for the sustainable development of the region, and necessary for improving people's life. First, the dual nature of ecological environment of Tibetan area. This region boasts extremely rich animal, plant and mining resources, and is an important ecological and safety protective screen. However, its ecological system and environment are very fragile. This determines the dual nature of ecological environment in Tibetan area. Second, green development should prioritize ecological protection. We develop industry prudently, and would by no means develop highly polluting and high energy intensive industries. We would prevent the transfer of industries to Tibetan areas which are banned or phased out, or not consistent with government industrial policy, so we can control ecological and environmental pollution from its source. Third, green development needs to be supported by industrial development. On the one hand, we need to develop ecological cultural tourism industry. We should harness the unique natural ecology, and rich folk customs, focus on "plateau ecology and ethnic culture", and develop tourism into the pillar industry in the Tibetan area. On the other hand, great efforts should be made in developing ecological animal husbandry industry. We should highlight characteristic animal husbandry industry, and build a number of professional local animal husbandry centers with strong local characteristics, produce characteristic animal husbandry products to create our brands and boost market expansion. Meanwhile, we should vigorously develop clean energy. Fully capitalize on the natural resources of Tibetan area, and vigorously develop solar, wind, hydro and other clean energies.
