Tibetan autonomous prefecture in China's Gansu benefits from green development
update:February 24,2022
LANZHOU, Feb. 21 -- Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Gansu Province, located at the transition zone between the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau, has benefited from green and low-carbon development with its breathtaking sceneries in both winter and summer being attractive to tourists.
Gannan is an important source of water conservation in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. But unscientific development in the past had caused damages to the environment.
Great changes have taken place since the local government launched the environmental protection campaign dubbed "environmental revolution" in 2015.
