May 8,2017--Lhalu Wetland is renowned as "the lung of Lhasa". Its protection area is 12.2 square kilometers, among which the core area is about 606 square kilometers, buffer area is 3.39 square kilometers, and experimental area is 2.21 square kilometers.
To better protect this precious wetland resource, the Lhasa Wetland Administration vigorously carries out protection and restoration projects. Now the first phase and second phase projects have been completed. Water quality is improved obviously and ecological environment quality is enhanced greatly.
