Nov. 14, 2016 -- The peach valley in Bomi County of Nyingchi City in southeastern Tibet has been rated as "China’s largest peach valley".

Bomi county boasts the most beautiful peach flowers. According to the Tourism Bureau of Bomi County, peach blossoms are in full bloom covering forty or fifty kilometers between March and April every year.

With an average altitude of 2,740 meters, the peach valley covers an area of 155.04 square kilometers, and approximately 180,000 to 200,000 peach trees grow there. The oldest peach tree is about 680 years old.

Experts say factors including unique climate, abundant rainfall and fertile lands are what make this phenomenon possible.

The Nyingchi Peach Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival has been held every March since 2002, and Bomi began to hold part of the festival in 2014.
