Nov. 12, 2018 -- In recent years, Tibet Autonomous Region has adhered to the idea of culture poverty alleviation. Tibet has made efforts to do a good job of cultural work in villages, and help the village party branch committee and villager committee form clear development goals as well as working methods, which has strengthened the initiative of the masses to get rid of poverty and become rich.
 

In recent years, Tibet Department of Culture has taken various measures to promote the culture poverty alleviation, which has achieved remarkable results. Department of Culture has cultivated 36 party members, 10 leaders for becoming rich and 20 reserve cadres of the village party branch committee and villager committee. At the same time, to strengthen the ideological and political education of the masses, Department of Culture has successively held activities such as opening farmer's bookstores and evening classes, and formulated village rules and regulations. In terms of economic construction, over 20 projects including Tibetan Pig breeding, ferns processing as well as furniture production have been implemented. Nearly 10 million yuan has been invested to help develop the village collective economy, provide jobs for the surplus labor force and increase the masses' income. In addition, Department of Culture has raised 1.2 million yuan to equip 267 sets of photovoltaic power generation equipment for three administrative villages in Drenthang Town.
