March 24,2017--In recent years, Tibet has been paying high attention to the development of Tibetan tranditional national handicraft industry and has been continuously developing markets at home and abroad. With a long weaving craft history, Tibetan weaving culture is unique in Tibetan carpets' iconic weaving designs and gorgeous colors. The manufacturing process of handmade Tibetan carpets is very tedious. After sieving high quality wool, it needs to be manually combed. Then the wool shall be spun into woolen yarns and woolen yarns dyed. Last but not the least, traditional Tibetan blankets with extremely rich vitality are weaved manually by the skilled craftsmen. Completing a pure manual wool carpet of common size would take a month’s time of two craftsmen.
