Tibet's airports see passenger throughput sustainable growth

Nov. 18, 2016 -- In recent years, with the development of Tibet's civil aviation industry, airports located in China's Tibet Autonomous Region witnessed an increase year by year in passenger volume. As such, Tibet achieves great development in economy and society. During the coming winter-spring season, the Civil Aviation Administration's Tibet Branch announced winter-spring flight schedule that will be followed from Oct. 30 of 2016 to Mar. 25 of 2017. In this flight season, the number of flights in Tibet's five airports (Lhasa Gonggar Airport, Shigatse Peace Airport, Nyingchi Menling Airport, Chamdo Bangda Airport and Nagri Gunsa Airport) reaches 405 every week, a year-on-year increase of 16 percent. The winter-spring flight schedule offers more conveniences for passengers.
