Aug. 25, 2017 -- Horse riders gave brilliant impressive performances during the traditional Shoton Festival in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
 

This annually-held festival, which dates from the middle of the 11th century, was listed as one of China's intangible cultural heritages in 2006.
 

It has been five years since horse-riding performances adorned the Shoton Festival. And this time 59 half-bred stallions were introduced from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to perform at the festival.
 

28 male and female riders in traditional dresses awed audience when by performing horseback archery, shooting and toasting, and picking up hada from the ground.
