June 20,2017--On June 15, 2017, Tibetan cultural exchange group visited Barcelona led by Hao Shiyuan, Secretary-General of presidium of Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and he was invited to give a lecture on the "History and Reality of Tibet" for the Confucius Institute in Barcelona. Tang Lingyun, deputy Consul-General of acting curator of the Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona, Chang Shiru, Chinese dean of Confucius Institute in Barcelona, Orr Dunja, foreign dean of Confucius Institute in Barcelona, Riva, Secretary-General of Home of Spain Asia, Batista, deputy president of University of Lleida, and hundreds of Chinese and foreign audience attended the lecture.

 

Hao Shiyuan introduced the great changes of economy, society education and people's life since Tibet implemented democratic reforms in 1959, and exchanged views with audience on freedom of religious belief, environmental protection and development of human rights in Tibet.

 

The activity was co-held by the Foundation of Confucius Institute in Barcelona, Home of Spain Asia and You Xing Media. The exchange group also presented Tibetan culture books, CDs and Tibetan incense to the audience.
