Nov. 7, 2016 -- It is reported that recently, Tibet tourism authorities have launched a series of winter tour lines with characteristics of Tibetan culture. While traveling along these routes, tourists could not only enjoy sufficient oxygen and warm sunshine in south Tibet but also know more about Tibetan culture.

On the route of “exploring the root of Tibetan civilization”, visitors will be amazed at magnificent human landscape and picturesque nature scenery along the Yarung Zangbo River, including Samye Monastery, Yumbulagang and Yamdrok Lake.

In winter, tourists going to south Tibet will have a chance to see winter plough, experiencing the ploughing civilization of south Tibet. Besides, tourists will understand Tibetan culture deeply while seeing a large number of Buddhist belivers pilgrim in winter.

Along the east circle route (Lhasa-Shannan-Nyingchi-Lhasa), tourists will visit the core scenic spots spreaded over the middle, east and south of Tibet. This seven-day tour line starts from Lhasa and ends at Tsona County, a boarding area in Shannan of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. With low altitude, Tsona County boasts rich forest resources, which helps tourists to ease the pain caused by altitude sickness. In addition, visitors could live in Monpa folk house and see some Tibetan culture relics.

The construction of a highway from Lhasa to Tsethang has already started. The first tunnel on the Lhasa-Nyingchi segment of Sichuan-Tibet railway has been completed. All these transportation projects will promote Tibet's tourism development.
