June 21,2018-- China and Belgium held a sideline meeting Tuesday on child protection during the 38th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Chinese delegates gave an introduction of China’s policies and practices on protecting children’s rights at the meeting.
The Chinese government pays high attention to promoting children’s rights and has taken a series of legislative and administrative measures. China will continue to increase the investment in children’s health and education, and strengthen international cooperation to provide aid to the least developed countries.
China called on the international community to pay more attention to data collection on child protection and build more effective international cooperation platforms. Meanwhile, developed countries and transnational corporations should provide more financial and technical aid to developing countries.
