Jan. 29, 2018 -- Procuratorial organs at all levels should continue to improve the supervision system and uphold the unity, sanctity and authority of the country's legal system, said Cao Jianming, chief procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) Wednesday.

Procuratorial organs across the country are urged to meet the new requirements in governing the country by rule of law and to play their due roles in the new era.

Cao stressed the importance of strengthening criminal and civil prosecution work to safeguard human rights and promote law-based administration.

Rights and interests of minors as well as servicemen and their families should be protected.

More effective measures should be explored to strengthen procuratorial supervision, urged Cao.
