Jan. 22, 2018 -- The Annual Report on Children’s Participation in China (2017) was issued at a press conference co-hosted by Chinese Children Center and Social Science and Academic Press on Thursday in Beijing.

The report which is China’s first blue book on children has been based on a survey of 8,847 children in seven cities in China. It focuses on the concept, current conditions, and influencing factors of children participation, in a bid to protect the rights of children, promote children development and serve for policy-making by the government.

Study shows children’s participation has been restricted by time and space. Solutions to addressing these issues are proposed in the blue paper.

Deng Li, vice-president of All-China Women's Federation said, the report helps improve work on children and promote children participation.

Experts and scholars exchanged views on children participation, children development and education reforms after the press conference.
