Seminar on China’s human rights development in a new era held in Guangzhou

Dec. 20, 2017 -- The seminar on the development of China’s human rights cause in a new era, co-sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) and the Publicity Department of Guangdong Province, was held Tuesday in south China’s Guangzhou city.
 
More than 50 officials and human rights scholars attended the seminar.
 
“We should carry out human rights research and publicity work under the direction of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and explore its content of human rights,” read a letter to the seminar by Cui Yuying, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, also vice minister of the State Council Information Office (SCIO) and vice president of the CSHRS. 
 
China has made remarkable progress in human rights protection with people’s basic human rights better protected, said scholars at the seminar.
 
Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era reflects the respect for and pursuit of human rights and puts people’s interests as a top priority.
 
The concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind has provided Chinese wisdom and solution to the global human rights development.
