June 13, 2017 -- A National People's Congress (NPC) delegation of legislators from Tibet Autonomous Region visited Japan from June 6th to June 10th.

The delegation was led by Dorje Tsering, member of the Standing Committee of Tibet’s People’s Congress and director of the Standing Committee of Nyingchi Municipal People’s Congress.

The delegation held talks with Japanese government officials.

China has adhered to the principle of developing bilateral relations with Japan based on the four political documents and the four-point principled agreement between the two countries. Tibet-related issue is a matter concerning China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Japan should deal with the issue concerning Tibet appropriately, with the big picture of China-Japan relations in mind, said Dorje.

Thanks to the full support of the central government and aid from people all over China, Tibet is working hard to build itself into an open, civilized and wealthy place, Dorje added.
