Tibetan delegation of NPC visits Thailand

June 6,2017--A National People's Congress (NPC) delegation of legislators from Tibet Autonomous Region visited Thailand from Saturday to Tuesday.
 
The delegation was led by Dorje Tsering, member of the Standing Committee of Tibet’s People’s Congress and director of the Standing Committee of Nyingchi Municipal People’s Congress.
 
The delegation held talks with Thai government officials and scholars.
 
Dorje Tsering gave an introduction of Tibet’s development achievements and the major functions of Tibet’s People’s Congress. It has proven that Tibetan policies adopted by the Chinese government are correct and have won approval of Tibetan people. China appreciates Thailand’s position on Tibet-related issues and hopes that Thailand would continue to properly handle these issues, said Dorje Tsering.
