Oct.2,2019 -- Since 2000, No. 2 Primary School of Nyingchi City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has devoted itself to exploring the comprehensive practice of ecological and environmental protection education, and actively carried out activities, which have not only enhanced students and parents' environmental protection awareness, but also increased the opportunities for interaction between schools and society.

Over the past 19 years, No. 2 Primary School has organized students to recycle waste products, and used funds from recycling to support poor students in the school. "Hand in Hand Global Village" activity has earned nearly 200,000 yuan RMB which has been used to establish charity fund, successively subsidizing more than 300 poor students.

In March 2019, construction of the "Global Village Eco-Park" of No. 2 Primary School has been started and completed on April 19.

The construction of "Global Village Eco-Park" has effectively improved the hardware facilities of environmental protection education of the school, provided a place for comprehensive practice, a hardware guarantee for garbage classification and red scarf planting experiment, an outdoor classroom for environmental protection education as well as school-based curriculum trial, and provided factual basis for subject integration (such as environmental protection education and science, arts), too.

"In the future, the school will continue to carry out environmental education work according to its actual situation. We hope that children are able to establish scientific environment concepts, and then affect families and society to practice low-carbon environmental protection concept and build a green ecological school," says the head of No. 2 Primary School.
