update:April 23,2019

Apr. 23, 2019 -- Sitting at an altitude of around 3,000 meters, the Nyingchi Prefecture is a jewel on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. It is one of the most popular place in southwestern China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The filming crew of the documentary "CGTN Nature" recently captured photos and footage of the incredible peach blossom in this area.

Every March and April, the peach blossom brings delicate shades of pink to Nyingchi, creating a lively pink sea on the plateau. The peach blossom usually bloom for about a month.

The peach blossom trees here are wild and are nothing like the ones planted in parks. They are exceptionally tall and can live to around a hundred years old.
