Mar. 29, 2018 -- According to the Lhasa Environmental Protection Agency, Lhasa had 116 days of good air quality and 245 days of fine air quality in 2017.

In 2017, Lhasa put the construction of ecological civilization in a prominent position. Through eliminating yellow label cars (heavy-polluting vehicles), promoting emission control of motor vehicles, and accelerating the implementation of clean energy replacement project, the air quality of Lhasa City was significantly improved.

To further improve air quality, in 2018, Lhasa City will continue to strengthen the emission control of motor vehicles, vigorously develop new energy public transport, encourage green commuting, and implement green construction. At the same time, the coal-to-gas and coal-to-electricity project will also be carried out.
