Aug.12,2016--Tibet will establish a remote sense monitoring system for Namtso Lake to help environmental protection and management, according to Tibet’s Environmental Department.

Namtso Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, is 4,718 meters above the sea level.

Protection of the lake’s ecology is crucial to global biological diversity given that it is home to various special plateau species including many national protected animals.

Now a total of 400 garbage cans have been put in place with two large garbage transfer centers and 25 garbage transfer trucks.

"The remote sense system could send real-time data to local workers via internet, which will help them to better understand the situations of the lake," said the official in charge of the syetem.
