March 30,2021 -- Recently, a group of 142 tourists has arrived in Qangkyim Village of Lhayu Town, Qonggyai County, Shannan City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. As a well-known "village of highland barley wine", rural tourism of Qangkyim Village is blooming. During the 13th five-year plan period, with a total investment of 32 million yuan, Qonggyai County improved local infrastructures and environment while maintaining its original natural conditions. In addition, a tourist cooperative was established. Local villagers were encouraged to engage in running home stay. Qangkyim Village guesthouses have received more than 3,000 visitors, and realized the tourism reception income of 267,000 yuan since its opening in May 2020. The average income of 36 families has increased by 7,200 yuan, and sales income of tourism commodity (highland barley wine) has exceeded 190,000 yuan.
