Seven counties of Tibet’s Nyingchi accessing to e-commerce platforms

Sept.17, 2020 -- Recently, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has made remarkable progress in poverty alleviation via industrial development. With the poverty relief platform of the Internet banking system, local financial institutes have made efforts in both supply and demand of agricultural products, helping farmers and herdsmen expand their sales channels.
 
Local financial institutes take various measures to promote the e-commerce development. They not only offer e-commerce training for enterprises, but also publicize the advantages of e-commerce in sales and settlement. Moreover, for increasing demands, more people are encouraged to buy online poverty-relief products. A series of promotion activities held by local enterprises also facilitate consumption, which is an effective way for poverty alleviation.
 
Now, the initiative of poverty alleviation via e-commerce has covered all seven counties (districts) of Nyingchi City. A total of 28 enterprises and cooperatives have joined the e-commerce platforms, with over 70 kinds of products on display. The total e-commercesales income of farmers and herdsmen has reached 201,800 yuan RMB since the beginning of this year.
