Shannnan City has implemented a series of policies in tourism, such as Legpo's azalea-themed tourism promotion conference and the extension of "winter tour to Tibet" favorable policies. Taking Yamdroktso lake scenic spot as an example, it gained subsidies worth about 1.25 million yuan RMB ahead of schedule this year. The local government also signed cooperation agreements including tourism favorable policies with travel agencies, helping tourism enterprises overcome difficulties.

 

Moreover, Tourism Development Bureau of Shannan City has focused on the building of ecological "oxygen bar" and enhanced the quality of tourism industry. Simplifying cross-border procedures greatly shortens the time needed for crossing the border and increases tourists' satisfaction. In addition, after receiving rural tourism service training, more and more farmers and herdsmen have engaged in agritainment which is another way for income growth.
