July 2,2020 -- Located in the northeast of Gongbo' gyamda County, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, Conggo is a poetic village at the intersection of Zala and Drongco furrows, nestling under snow mountain and facing Basum Co. From 2013 to 2015, it was awarded the titles of "Famous Historical & Cultural Village" and "Traditional Ancient Village", listed among "Top Ten Beautiful Villages in China".

New site of Conggo Village is full of rape flowers, presenting a poetic scene.

Houses in the old site of Conggo Village have been eroded for years, with poor stability and potential safety hazard. Moreover, old houses leaked air and rain with no sewage system, bringing great inconvenience to villagers' basic life. Therefore, the village began to move from 2017. After the relocation activities were held on February 6, 2019, villagers gradually moved to beautiful and comfortable houses in new site.

At present, 720 residents of 162 households live in this village. The whole village has been lifted out of poverty now. After moving to the new site, it vigorously develops tourism and local tourism resources, building a good platform for fellow villagers to increase their income and get rich.

"In the past, unstable voltage frequently caused power cuts and short circuits. In addition, the old site was relatively remote, late repairs made blackouts lasting for days. Now, living conditions with stable voltage in new site become much better, tourists feel at ease when they come to the village for sightseeing and short stay." Says Norbu Tsering, party branch secretary of Conggo Village.
