Feb.10,2020 -- The Tibet autonomous region on Saturday has removed 32 people from medical observation who had contacts with the region's only one confirmed novel coronavirus patient, according to the region's health commission.

According to the commission, these 32 people were isolated in several designated hospitals for medical observation in the region's cities of Lhasa, Shigatse, Lhokha and Nagchu over the past 14 days, and they met the medical standards of removal from isolation on Saturday as they did not have any fever, coughing or other symptoms.

According to the latest statement released by the commission on Saturday, Tibet reported no new confirmed cases or deaths from novel coronavirus infections by Friday midnight since the region reported its first case on Jan.29.

The region's first confirmed patient surnamed Zhang is still under treatment and he has been in stable condition by Friday midnight.

Tibet's health authorities have been reminding residents to be cautious with the basic knowledge of disease prevention, and residents are advised to avoid gatherings and excessive disinfection recently, ventilate the air in the room, wash hands all the time, do proper exercises, and maintain a regular diet and daily schedule these days.
