Feb.10,2020 -- No new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infections had been reported in Tibet by Friday since the region reported its first case on Jan.29, according to the regional health commission.

Tibet is the last region in Chinese mainland to report a novel coronavirus case, and the region with the least confirmed cases of the disease.

According to the latest information released by the commission on Friday, Tibet remains with only one confirmed case of the novel coronavirus as of Thursday midnight, with no new cases of the novel coronavirus or deaths in the last eight days.

Since the Hubei provincial patient was confirmed with the disease in Tibet on Jan.29, the region has been exerting its greatest efforts to treat him, and he has been remaining in stable condition over the week.

Tibet's health authorities have been spreading statements on various social media networks to remind people to be cautious with the basic knowledge of disease prevention.

These statements include avoiding going to crowded places, wearing facial masks whenever going out, covering the mouth and nose with a tissue while sneezing or coughing, using soap to wash hands with running water, and avoiding touching the mouth, nose and eyes after taking public transportation.
