Nyingchi: all-for-one tourism promotes tourism integration

Dec.4,2019 -- In recent years, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has deepened the innovation-driven development of all-for-one tourism, which is taken as a major measure for meeting the public demand for tourism consumption and adjusting the economic growth mode. Gradually, tourism becomes a pillar industry for social and economic development. The city has opened a new path for the development on all-for-one tourism with Nyingchi’s local characteristics.
 
In 2018, Nyingchi City received 7.13 million tourists from both home and abroad, realizing a year-on-year increase of 37.56%. The tourism revenue reached 5.92 billion yuan RMB, up 0.26% compared with the same period last year, which reflects the city remaining sustainable development of tourism industry.
 
Nyingchi City has set up a leading group for tourism development and mainly focused on the development of all-for-one tourism, which is taken as the strategic pillar one. All these measures lead to the transformation of its tourism economy. The unified work direction provides solid guarantee for the sustainable development of tourism.
 
Based on geographic and cultural advantages, Nyingchi City has selected some local villages boasting beautiful natural scenery, unique culture as well as convenient transportation, and optimized their tourism facilities. With a series of rural tourism development policies, the city also helps impoverished villages develop rural tourism and promotes the building of its rural tourism product system.
 
In order to establish a good tourist destination image and its own brand of tourism attractions, Nyingchi City has accelerated the pace of building a world tourism destination. During the construction of international ecological tourism and all-for-one ecological tourism demonstration zone, the city has invested in the upgrading of tourism infrastructures in Medog and Nyangchu River scenic spots. With the promotion of toilet reform, 22 new public toilets were built last year.
