Nov.26,2019 -- Shangchu River of the Rinwu Village, Namling Town, Namling County, Shigatse City, southwest China's Autonomous Region, is a tributary of Yarlung Zangbo River. Twenty years ago, an 8-year-old boy had herded his cattle as a cowherd for 13 years on the bank of Shangchu River. Now, this boy has grown into a village cadre, and even a delegate to the 19th CPC National Congress. He is called Nyima Sichu, the Party branch secretary of Rinwu Village.

At the age of 21, Nyima Sichu ended his herding life in order to pay off the family debt. During one year's work in Nagqu City, he found Tibetan stoves selling well, so he went to learn the skill of making stoves. "At that time, there were lots of discarded iron sheets in the garbage station of Nagqu," Nyima Sichu smiles and says, "I picked up all iron sheets for learning skills." Hard working accumulated valuable experience for his business career. In the next year, Nyima Sichu borrowed 800 yuan RMB from his family and opened a bicycle repair shop. In 2007, he formed a construction team and led his village fellows to undertake various construction projects. Although going through wind and rain, his love of life made him go more and more smoothly on the way of getting rich, and became a well-known pioneer of making money.

When Nyima Sichu's career was booming in 2011, Rinwu villagers elected him as the head of the village committee. All the villagers hoped that the young man can help them all become rich.

Rinwu Village was an impoverished one when Niyma Sichu took office. More than 360 villagers went out for work all year around, with a per capital income of only 2,800 yuan RMB and 62 households below the poverty line. To increase villagers' income, Nyima Sichu organized them to open shops and make money from their own handicrafts; he taught his technical skills to some of them, too.

Following Nyima Sichu, the villager's per capital annual income has increased from 2,800 yuan RMB in 2011 to 10,000 yuan RMB now, and its collective economic income has risen to millions. In 2017, Nyima Sichu was elected as a delegate of the 19th CPC National Congress.

Talking about the development plan of Rinwu Village, Nyima Sichu says: "This is a draft of the whole plan that preliminarily agreed by the villagers' meeting in March 2017. We make it available to the public, so that people know what the committee is doing, and also motivate us to work harder.”

When chatting with Nyima Sichu, his topic is always around village's development and working plan. In order to make villagers' life better, he makes great efforts, such as leading them to learn beekeeping techniques and establishing beekeeping base, mobilizing local party members to raise fund voluntarily and establish rural cooperatives, setting up practical skills training school to train the farmers and herdsmen with planting and breeding techniques. Moreover, he actively cooperates with Namling County government to undertake "Old City Reconstruction", "New Rural Construction" and many other construction projects, so that Rinwu Village's development can be steadily promoted.
