"11.11" daily average delivery volumes reached 150 thousand in Tibet

Nov.14,2018--With the rapid growth of e-commerce industry, the online shopping habits of the Chinese consumers have been gradually developed and deepened, thus driving a surge in express delivery industry. This year, the express delivery industry has developed rapidly in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The recent peak season is mainly concentrated in the "11.11" and "12.12" with e-commerce promotion period, the eve of New Year's Day as well as Spring Festival (February 5) in 2019, totaling 96 days. At present, business volume has increased by 30% year-on-year. For the period of the "11.11", the volume of express delivery was estimated to exceed 2.35 million.
 
According to a related person of Postal Administration of Tibet Autonomous Region, a special leading group has been set up by them to complete, organize, direct and coordinate the service in peak delivery season.
 
Based on its mature experience in the past years and focused on domestic and international markets as well as urban and rural conditions, the "Work Instructions of Express Delivery Industry" of Postal Administration of TAR requires stable operation of the whole industry. In order to urge enterprises to strictly implement the system of receiving and sending parcels, real-name getting and posting, and man-machine matching system will be operated.
 
This year, they have increased the storage of terminal personnel, venues and vehicles, and enhanced pre-job training and safety education for additional temporary workers to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. They have also organized and coordinated enterprises to share resources and solve difficulties. They have maximized the function of community terminal integrated service station and intelligent express boxes, to make up for the shortage of delivery capacity.
