Oct. 2, 2018 -- Oct. 1, 2018 marks the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. People in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region held different activities ahead of the National Day to celebrate the birthday of the country and express best wishes to the motherland.

On Sep. 29, villagers actively joined in the cultural and sports activities organized by local party committee and government, Numa village, Gar County, Ngari Prefecture. Through the flag-raising ceremony, singing the national anthem, horse racing and other activities, local villagers showed their love of the motherland and a growing sense of gains. 

On Sep. 29, people in Yadong County, Xigaze City gathered together to watch the performance with the theme of “Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening-up & Celebrating the Upcoming National Day”.

On the evening of Sep. 30, Nyingchi City held a special performance to celebrate the National Day. The evening gala showed Nyingchi's achievements in development and expressed the strong will of local people to build Nyingchi a prosperous future under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. 

Meanwhile, Tibet will embrace an increasing number of tourists during the National Day Holiday. To provide a safe and pleasant journey for tourists from home and abroad, relevant departments in Tibet will work together to ensure a stable travel environment.
