Chamdo improves quality of service on aged people

Aug.28,2018--Since the 18th national congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), quality and capability of aged service has continuously improved in Chamdo, Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Since 2013, more than 443 million Yuan RMB has been invested to build support institutions and set up beds. At present, there are 4,807 elderly people in the city, and the support rate reaches 100%.
 
Since 2013, capable and responsible staffs such as excellent nurses, doctors as well as other professional technicians have been selected for support institutions through providing service positions, public welfare, open recruitment and other ways. There are 281 staffs in 11 counties’ support institutions now.
 
Various measures have been taken to improve aged service. A series of rules and regulations have been constantly formulated and improved. Improving the infrastructure such as supermarket, infirmary as well as barber shop offers a reliable guarantee for old people’s life. Reward and punishment system was established to assess the staffs, and assessment is linked to staffs’ rewards and renewals.
 
Enterprises, social organizations, volunteers and others have promoted the construction of support institutions. Up to now, 3 private enterprises have funded more than 300,000 Yuan.
