Ticket reservation for Potala Palace moved up half an Hour

July 25,2018--Recently, the official WeChat account for the Potala Palace announced that the queuing time for ticket reservation office will be moved up from 7:30 am to 7 am, and ticket reservation time is also moved up from 9 am to 8:30 am, due to the arrival of peak visitor season.
 
There are two ways for ticket reservation for the Potala Palace: one is to reserve tickets one day ahead of time at the palace ticket office, which begins at 8:30 am until sold out and there’s no service charge; another is that visitors could use the online reservation system at the Potala Palace website (http://www.potalapalace.cn/userLogin.html) to book seven days ahead of time, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm daily, with a maximum of five tickets allowed per account.Identifications accepted for ticket purchase include second generation resident ID or temporary resident ID.
 
Any visitor who could not visit the palace as reserved due to personal reasons need to promptly apply for extension or cancellation at the ticket office.
