Lhoka City focuses on popularization of science and technology

April 26, 2018 -- As the popularization of science and technology is the basis and key to increase the yield and efficiency of agriculture and animal husbandry as well as to increase the income of the masses, Lhoka City strengthens the breeding of good varieties, cultivation of artificial grassland, and large-scale and efficient farming. Focusing on transforming scientific and technological achievements into productive forces, great achievements have been made.

So far, Lhoka City has established 22,000 mu of elite seed breeding field and the coverage rate of improved crops reaches 87%.

Besides, 77 township integrated service centers for agriculture and animal husbandry are established and 10 technical personnel are provided for each town, which effectively increases the grassroots scientific and technological strength of agriculture and animal husbandry.
