Chamdo received over 2 mln tourists in 2017

April 25, 2018 -- In 2017, Chamdo City received 2.002 million tourists, a year on year increase of 13.78%, and the tourism revenue reached 1.642 billion yuan, a year on year increase of 13.79%. The whole city's tourism industry maintains good development momentum.

In 2017, 3.2 million yuan was invested in the construction of "Salie" camp with the aim of improving its operational capability and service level. 36.16 million yuan was invested in 9 tourism construction projects. In addition, the creation and appraisal work of A-grade scenic spots was steadily carried out.

Beside, Chamdo City also actively carried out various promotional activities. Through cooperating with relevant tourism companies, tourism investment promotion work was carried out. With the support of counterpart aid units, 3.4 million yuan was invested by the Fujian Tourism Development Committee to boost the tourism development of Chamdo City.
