April 20, 2018 -- As May Day holiday is coming, additional trains from Lhasa to Shigatse are planned to bee added during the coming May Day holiday, according to Lhasa Railway Bureau. The scheme attempts to ease transport pressure brought by the public holiday. Z9905/6 express train from Lhasa to Shigatse will be added during April 28 and May 1.

With the coming of peak tourist season, “winter tours in Tibet” draws to end. Tourists who plan to go to Shigatse during May Day holiday need to know the schedule of temporary trains. A ticket booking in advance is also recommended.
