April 17, 2018 -- The 16th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival kicked off in Gala Village, Nyingchi of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on March 29, marking the good beginning of Tibet's tourism in 2018. Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival and the preferential policies echoing for "winter tours in Tibet" have attracted a large number of visitors during the tomb-sweeping holiday.
With the implementation of "winter tours in Tibet", all A-class scenic spots in Tibet open to visitors for free from Feb 1 to April 30, among which there are seven tourist attractions in Nyingchi, including seven A-class tourist attractions include Basumtso Lake, Lulang Forest, Nanyigou scenic spot, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Nyang Attic, Kadinggou Water Fall scenic spot and Millennium Walnut King scenic spot. In addition, great discounts on hotels and flights are available to people visiting Tibet. During the period of tomb-sweeping holiday, a large number of visitors traveled to Tibet. The one-day tour is the first choice for tourists.
The Peach Blossom Festival has seen 657,000 tourists until now, generating 520 million yuan in tourism revenue. Motivated by Peach Blossom Festival, tourism in Lhasa, Shannan and Shigatse is gradually warming up.
