Mar. 30, 2018 -- Now, the per capita net income of Sagang Village in Sagang Town, Dengqen County, Chamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region is increased from 6000 yuan to 8182 yuan, and the collective economy is also developed from scratch. Local villagers are unable to restrain to sigh,”the village party branch is really the leader to lift people out of poverty.”

Located in the high mountain and valley regions, the climate of Sagang Village is bad and the natural environment is relatively poor. Traditional crop planting and livestock breeding lead to the backward economic development. Combined with the inconvenience of transportation, it is more difficult for Sagang Village to develop.

"We must lead the masses of Sagang Village to get rich," the village party branch makes a solemn promise to the villagers.

"If you want to be rich, you must first build roads, " says a Chinese proverb. Through coordinating with relevant departments, the 25 km-village-road is built.

As there is no collective economy in the village, the local masses are guided by the  village party branch to readjust industrial structure. Then the chicken breeding factory, Tibetan incense processing factory, steamed bun shop, and dinas processing factory are built. Besides, they also learn from the experience of other villages. In addition, villagers are also encouraged to grow crops that meet the local growth conditions.

"This year, 50 mu of potato, 100 mu of highland barley, 250 mu of oilseed rape, and 500 mu of turnip are planted in the village. The increase of people's income can be expected soon,” said Pema Sangdrol, secretary of the village party branch.
