Feb. 28, 2018 -- To further meet tourists' accommodation requirements in peak season, the Tourism Administration of Chengguan District, Lhasa City will add two or three star-rated hotels this year.

From June to October every year, the occupancy rate of hotels in Chengguan District is above 80%. Especially in July, August, and September, the rate can be above 95%. In recent years, the development of ecological tourism and leisure tourism to some extent has driven the development of hotel industry.

At present, the occupancy rate of two-star and three-star hotels as well as family inns is high. Many self-service travelers tend to prefer family inns and economic-type business hotels. Up to now, there are 139 hotels and family inns in Chengguan District.

With the increasingly fierce competition of market economy, hotel industry's survival and development also face new challenges. To accelerate the pace of creating an international tourism city, the Tourism Administration of Chengguan District will continue to strengthen the inspection of hotels so as to ensure a comfortable living experience for tourists.

Once problem is found in inspection, rectification opinions will be put forward immediately and serious violators will be given due punishment.
