Nov. 3, 2017 -- Recently, an agreement on the opening of the Lhasa-Damxung tourist-dedicated train has been signed by the Tibet Travel Corporation and Qinghai-Tibet Railway Corporation, according to the Tourism Development Commission of Tibet Autonomous Region.

The opening of Lhasa-Damxung tourist-dedicated train will provide convenient and safe transportation services for tourists travelling to core scenic spots of "world's third polar national park" including Namtso and Siling Co as well as Damxung grassland.

This train will be opened on July 1, 2018. Train formation will be flexibly made in accordance with market demand. In addition, it will publicizing special plateau tourism projects by integrating tourism resources such as Namtso, Siling Co, Damxung grassland, Yambajan, and Cona Lake.
