Sep.27,2017-- This year, by propagandizing the concept of healthy food, Maizhokunggar County of Lhasa City promotes the quinoa planting industry. With an investment of 2.1906 million yuan, Maizhokunggar County starts trial planting of quinoa in Kelsang Village, which involves 32 poverty-stricken families that have established card for archives.

By positively coordinating with superior agriculture and animal husbandry departments,technical guidance on quinoa planting is given to the masses. In addition, a series of work including supplementary fertilization, ploughing, hoeing, watering and son on are carried out. At the same time,  Maizhokunggar County purchases insurance from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau and signs sales agreement with the Lhasa Pure Land Company. It is expected that the per mu yield of quinoa can be 50 kilograms to 150 kilograms and the per mu sales value can be 800 yuan to 2400 yuan.
