Tibetan culture showcased in New Zealand

Sep.5,2017-- A cultural event which features a photo exhibition and a series of performances was held in Auckland, New Zealand on September 1 to showcase Tibet’s natural and cultural beauties. 
 
The exhibition, which features 30 pictures of Tibetan landscapes, traditional customs and economic development, was applauded by locals.
 
Officials from New Zealand’s ruling party also visited the exhibition.
 
China is a unified multi-ethnic country. For those who want to get a full picture of China, it is necessary to know China’s ethnic minorities and their profound cultures. This exhibition aims to provide a window for people in New Zealand to know more about China and Tibet, said Wang Yanwen, head of the delegation and also vice inspector of the Human Rights Bureau of the State Council Information Office (SCIO).
 
Xu Erwen, Chinese consul-general in Auckland introduced China’s policies on ethnic minorities and the achievements. Xu said the Chinese government has attached high importance to the protection of Tibetan culture and heritage.
